Hospital Honored for Rural Health Promotion
Award Commemorates Devoted OHA Associate 
COLUMBUS – A small northwest Ohio hospital with a big reputation for community health promotion has received new recognition for its work from the Ohio Hospital Association’s Foundation for Healthy Communities. Fostoria Community Hospital became the first recipient today of the David Hendershot Rural Health Promotion Award.

Federal, State Grants Help Rural Hospitals Serve Patients
COLUMBUS – Small and rural hospitals across Ohio are improving services to their communities thanks to $743,182 in federal and state grants administered by the Foundation for Healthy Communities of the Ohio Hospital Association. The federal funds are provided through the Ohio Department of Health and its State Office of Rural Health.

Help Hospitals Partner for Better Health
COLUMBUS – Six Ohio hospitals are teaming up with local schools, social service agencies and others to promote better health for targeted local populations, thanks to $100,000 in grants from the Foundation for Healthy Communities.
