New Directors Appointed to Foundation Board
OHA Board makes new appointments to 2011 Board of Directors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Board of Trustees of the Ohio Hospital Association made the following new appointments to the Foundation for Healthy Communities’ Board of Directors for 2011:

LeeAnn Lucas-Helber, president of Hocking Valley Community Hospital. In her 15 years at the critical access hospital in Logan, Lucas-Helber has served in various finance positions and also has a solid background in strategic planning, health information systems, employee relations and compliance.  She also serves on several other community boards and committees.

Frankye Herald, RN, BSN, Miami Valley Hospital.  Herald is the lead coordinator of the Mahogony’s Child Program at the hospital, which provides health education and screening to minority women in Dayton. She is also the 2006 recipient of OHA’s Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award and has received grant funding for her program through the Foundation for Healthy Communities. Herald serves on many community boards and committees, and offers the foundation a unique perspective of a program coordinator and grant recipient.

Heidi Gartland, vice president of government relations at University Hospitals. Gartland is a former OHA employee, and is currently responsible for UH’s federal, state and local government relations, external relations, community benefit and child advocacy.
